Position Description for Marketing/Creative Lead
SPM Strategies specializes in digital outreach for a variety of clients in the Mid-Atlantic area.  SPM enables clients the ability to engage targets and tell their story via the social web. SPM is looking to add a specialist to work on new accounts based in Maryland.  This position will report directly to the firm founder and CEO.

Job Description:
The Marketing/Creative Lead is responsible for the creation of branding and marketing materials that support specific client goals. The designer will work alongside the firm CEO to implement new and existing multi-month communications strategies, identify targets of opportunity, and exercise creativity on client projects. The designer will be expected to advise, as well as create.

The right candidate for this position will be energetic, regimented, and organized, and is willing to work remotely – including at client events.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Adobe CS, Photoshop, Indesign
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, Paid Search & Display Campaigns
  • Knowledge of major and emerging social media platforms, digital trends, and best practices
  • Some experience in WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIN, Google Plus, Pinterest, and working knowledge in other areas of social media
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
  • Willingness to learn new creative design software.

SPM Strategies, LLC manages several political and grassroots campaigns in the Mid-Atlantic area. SPM has a client in need of campaign fundraising support and is looking to to execute the following activities:

-event management

-data entry/quality assurance

-data management and analysis

-communications management including social media

-writing

This job is perfect for a recent college graduate eager to learn first hand how successful political fundraising campaigns operate. Skill set requirements include proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint.  Attention to detail is really important attribute.  Candidate must be organized, an excellent writer, and an effective communicator.

No experience necessary, but a good attitude and willingness to learn is. The HQ is in Columbia, Maryland.

The Account Coordinator will work alongside the firm CEO to develop a multi-month communications strategy, identify targets of opportunity, and generate analytics reports in a manner consistent with client goals. The Account Coordinator will also support client earned media strategies (when applicable) and contribute to marketing campaigns using emerging media.
The right candidate for this position will be energetic, regimented, and organized, and is willing to work remotely.

Job Requirements:
– Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
– Some experience in editing and copyediting
– Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Paid Search Campaigns
– Knowledge of major and emerging social media platforms, digital trends, and best practices
– Some experience in WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIN, Google Plus, Pinterest, and working knowledge in other areas of social media
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
– Some experience with HTML
Bonus:
– Basic understanding of CSS and other web languages

– Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related degree
